What it checks
Measured first, suggested second
The optimizer works in two layers. The first is deterministic and runs for every analysis: it measures the structure and language of the text. The second uses AI, only when you ask for it, to suggest what the content is missing and to draft an improved version.
Content quality
Word count and reading time, Flesch reading ease for English text, average sentence length, long sentences and long paragraphs.
SEO structure
Title length, a single H1, section subheadings, internal links, and, if you enter a target keyword or topic, whether it appears in the H1, the opening 100 words, subheadings and the title, and whether it is repeated too often.
AI readability
Questions answered explicitly in headings, plain definitions of key terms, lists and tables, a concise opening summary and paragraphs short enough to quote on their own.
Schema opportunities
Where the content suggests structured data: Article for editorial pages, FAQPage for question-and-answer sections, Product or Service where prices appear, BreadcrumbList and Organization.
AI suggestions
Missing topics a thorough page on the subject would cover, questions your audience is likely to ask with a hint of what each answer needs, an improved heading outline, and specific comments on the three scored areas.
Improved version
A restructured Markdown draft that keeps the original facts, with a new title and meta description, editor notes on what changed and [add …] markers where a verified detail is needed.
Why it matters
Structure is how content gets understood
People scan before they read. Search engines and AI systems do something similar: they split a page into sections and passages and match each to the questions people ask. Content with a clear outline, direct answers under descriptive headings, and facts in lists or tables is easier to rank, excerpt and quote accurately than the same information in long, undivided text.
Coverage matters as much as clarity. A page that answers the obvious question but skips the follow-ups (costs, timelines, risks, alternatives) sends readers elsewhere. Suggestions for missing topics and questions are a quick way to see the gaps.
AI drafts need an editor
The draft is a starting point. The model is told to keep your facts and not to add figures, claims or examples, but it can still make mistakes. Nothing is published: copy the draft into your editor, check every statement, replace the [add …] markers with verified details and keep your own voice.

Use a page address for published content. Paste text for drafts, pages behind a login, or pages that load their text with JavaScript. Plain text, Markdown and HTML work; add the topic you want the page to rank for.
- 02Fix the measured issues
Start with critical findings: a missing H1, a topic that never appears, text without subheadings. They are quick wins and do not need AI.
- 03Ask for AI suggestions
Review the missing topics and questions and keep the ones that fit your audience. Copy the suggested headings as a new outline.
- 04Generate an improved version if useful
Compare the draft with your text, take what works, and verify facts before publishing.

Content is one part of AI search readiness. The AI Search Readiness Checker also covers crawler access, entities and structured data.
What happens to text I paste?
The analysis runs on HUB’s server and is not stored. If you ask for AI suggestions or a draft, the text is sent to OpenAI’s API with storage turned off and is not cached by HUB. Do not paste confidential information you are not allowed to share with a processor.
Which languages work?
Structure checks and AI suggestions work for most languages; AI output follows the language of the content. The Flesch reading ease score is designed for English, so it is shown only for English text.
Is there a word limit?
Pasted text can be up to 40,000 characters. AI suggestions and the improved version use the first 14,000 characters; analyze long pages in sections for full coverage.
Will the improved version rank better?
No tool can promise that. Clearer structure and better coverage help readers and make content easier to understand, but rankings and AI citations depend on many factors outside the page.
Why is AI unavailable sometimes?
The free tools share a daily AI budget. When it is used up, AI features pause until 00:00 UTC; the measured analysis still works.
