SERP Preview & Meta Generator
Preview
How the result may look
An approximation of Google’s layout. Google may rewrite titles and descriptions, and shows sitelinks, dates, ratings and images depending on the query and the page.

Improve with AI
Three alternatives to choose from
Professional, SEO-focused and higher-CTR versions. The title, description, keyword and URL you entered are sent to OpenAI to write them.
What it checks
Length in pixels, not just characters
Google shortens titles and descriptions by the space they take on screen, not by a fixed character count. A title with many wide letters (W, M, capitals) is cut sooner than one with narrow letters. The preview measures your text with the fonts Google uses and truncates it the way a result is likely to be shown.
Desktop and mobile previews
The site name, URL breadcrumb, title and description, with words from your target keyword in bold as Google bolds words that match the search.
Title length
Characters and pixel width against roughly 600 pixels on desktop. Titles of about 50–60 characters usually fit and still describe the page fully.
Description length
Characters and pixel width. Desktop results typically show around 150–160 characters; mobile results often show less.
Keyword placement
Whether the target keyword appears in the title (and how early) and in the description, plus a warning for titles written in capitals.
Fill from page
Enter the page URL and read its current title and description, so you start from what search engines see today.
Improve with AI
Three alternatives written for different goals: professional, SEO-focused and higher click-through rate, each with its length. Use one in the preview or copy it.
Why it matters
The result is your first impression
Before anyone visits a page, they see its search result. The title is the largest, clickable line, and the description is the reason to choose your result over the others on the page. Both influence how many people click, and the title also tells search engines what the page is about.
Google does not always use what you write. It may rewrite a title that is too long, stuffed with keywords, identical across pages or unlike the page’s main heading, and it often picks text from the page as the description when that matches the search better. Writing a specific, accurate title and description makes it more likely yours are used.
A preview is an approximation
Result layouts change and vary by device, country and query. Google can add dates, ratings, sitelinks or images, and rewrite text. Use the preview to catch text that is clearly too long or unclear, not as an exact rendering.
How to write them
Specific beats clever
- 01Lead the title with the topic
“Magento Upgrade Services for 2.4.8 | Brand” tells searchers and search engines more than “Welcome to Brand”. Put the brand last unless it is what people search for.
- 02Make every title unique
Pages with the same title compete with each other and are more likely to be rewritten.
- 03Write the description as a promise you keep
Say what the page offers, for whom, and one concrete detail: a price range, a delivery time, a format. Avoid claims the page cannot support.
- 04Match the page
The title should agree with the H1 and the description with the content. Mismatches are the most common reason for rewrites.
- 05Copy the tags
“Copy HTML tags” gives you the <title> and <meta name="description"> elements, with special characters escaped, ready for a template or CMS.
Questions
About the SERP
preview
To check titles and descriptions on a live page together with headings, canonical tags and structured data, run the SEO Analyzer.
How long should a meta description be?
About 120–160 characters is a practical range. Shorter descriptions can work if they are specific; longer ones are usually cut. There is no penalty for length, only less control over what is shown.
Does the keyword in the title still matter?
Search engines understand synonyms and context well, but a title that plainly names the topic helps both them and the people scanning results. Use the words your audience uses, once, naturally.
